Despite the fact that the Czech Republic is a small country in Central Europe, a large number of great artists come from it. One of those that this country can be proud of is the sculptor and painter Richard Stipl, whose work will definitely inspire you.

Although he studied painting, he has mainly devoted himself to sculpture in recent years. A characteristic feature of his sculptures are hyper realistic busts or human figures, in the creation of which he often stands a model himself.

In his work, he deals with the issue of art consumption and the related critique of society. We can see post-apocalyptic scenes or mythology in his works as well. Interesting works of art were created, for example, in his collaboration with another Czech artist, Josef Zlamal.

He has organized many exhibitions around the world during his long career of being an excellent artist and won many prestigious awards. His works are part of important collections of world galleries and private collectors. He often participates in art fairs such as Art Basel in Miami or the London Frieze Art Fair.

You can also follow his work on Instagram, where you will find out, for example, information about planned or ongoing exhibitions. Sometimes he shares interesting videos from the creative process via his social media accounts.

How does Richard's work affect you? What does it evoke in you?
