MEET THE ARTIST
SANDRA CALLANDER

Based in British Columbia, Sandra Callander fell in love with polymer clay for the second time six years ago, developing a strong passion for intricate canes inspired by natural designs and retro patterns.

In this online session, we will talk about Sandra’s work and the vibrant mix of precision, playfulness, and creativity that makes polymer clay fun and approachable.

CHALLENGE OF THE MONTH | JUNE

THE ART OF CRACKLE

Crackle patterns can hide layers, create contrast, and bring a sense of age, movement, and unexpected beauty into polymer clay. This is what we will focus on in our June challenge. Play with colours, additional mediums, surface treatments, and different techniques to create a piece where cracks, lines, and broken patterns become an intentional part of the design.

JEN N. FROM USA

What I see in the Society is a great collection of tutorials, videos, and other information related to works that are at an elevated level of artistry, and I find that exciting and compelling. I also appreciate having both written tutorials and videos. There seems to be such a proliferation of unedited tutorial videos on the internet, with many focusing on generic work, and I appreciate the level of quality and curation on your site.
